c a t c h u p

Hello and happy Monday.  I can't believe it's Monday already! This weekend went by way too fast... I spent it down in the South of England in beautiful Bath.  It was one of my best friends' hen-do and we had a murder mystery meal and a few drinks on the town.

(that's me in the school outfit)

As well as this amazing weekend I've been up to all sorts that I've failed to share with you already, so I'm going to use this blog post as a quick catch-up (I know I've been a bit rubbish, but I plan to change this).

I'll share more peeks of Bath in a separate post, but in the meantime let me show you some fun from Manchester (last weekend - I know, I told you I've been a little slow).

We went to watch Elbow at Manchester MEN arena - it was amazing!!
I only managed to get a quick snap with my i-phone, but I'm sure you can tell how immense it was.

Ahh good times :)

April fool

Good morning jokers! It's the first day of April today and I'm determined to make at least one April fool. Already it seems someone's been larking around this morning...

Shoes on top of the bus shelter - how did they get there? Hehe.

girl crush : Audrey Tautou

I have many girl crushes.  So many in fact I may make this a regular feature.  But right now I want to share with you this lovely lady whom I have crushed on for years...

"Amelie" is in my top five favourite films of all time.  I think that's where my crush began.

The littlest egg

Eggs are one of my favourite food-stuffs, so I consider myself quite lucky that Floyd's mum has chickens and regularly gives us free eggs (they're much much nicer than supermarket eggs as well). She gave us an extra special treat in our egg box the other day...

Isn't it the cutest egg you've ever seen?

New project

I've started a new crocheting project.  I'm quite bad for starting projects (not just crocheting ones) and not finishing them - I don't know why.  Some Chinese philosopher said that the key to happiness is finishing everything you start... well I can believe that because I get an enormous sense of achievement from finishing something I've been working on, and I get stressed out by all the unfinished projects I have lying around!!  You would've thought I'd learn one day - well there's still time.

I've taken to crocheting on the bus when I can... it's a good time to do it as I travel nearly an hour to and from work every day.  As long as they're small enough projects to be portable.  Here is my current one...

Can you tell what it is yet?  It's hiding in my bag.

I'll share more when it's done.  Cheerio for now xx

Inspired: Laura George

Hello and happy Wednesday!  It's been a beautiful day here in Sheffield - the warmest day of the year so far.  Made me frustrated to be indoors for nigh on all of it, but it still picked my spirits up to have the glorious sunshine warming the world up (well a little piece of it).

All this sunshine and happiness has made me want to share with you a sunny, happy artist I love and I hope you will love too.

Her stuff is so pretty and cheerful.  I absolutely adore all of the colours in her paintings and prints. The "turn off your computer and go outside" picture is my current desktop background.  Has it made you smile?  I hope so :)

wishlist:

As promised, I'm back with my ever-expanding list of things I'd love to own (how greedy).  Sometimes it's just nice to window shop though, eh?
This very pretty dress from Anthropologie (I had to show the front and back!)

This great print from Gingiber (and so true for me).

Both of these really cool screen printed pillows found at The Curiosity Shoppe.

This adorable bookmark (and such pretty packaging - always a winner!)

These fridge magnets - found here.

This lovely skirt found at SallyJaneVintage.

Ahh, wishes wishes... xx

Sunday walk: Filey

Hello lovely people.  Seeing as I took so many pictures on holiday, I'm breaking them down into separate posts.  Me and Floyd went on an 8 mile walk from Filey to Scarborough one day along the coast line - it was a glorious day and I took many pictures.  So instead of my (irregular) weekly walk update, I'm going to show you some pics from the Filey walk instead.

Be back soon with some more awesomeness added to my wishlist.

Ok bye xx

Liberty <3 Comic Relief

It's comic relief tonight, so on my way home I thought it best I show my support by purchasing this pretty bag made by Liberty of London.

You can see why I had to right?

St. Patrick's Day

Hello and happy St. Paddy's day!!  As this is a day of celebrating the Emerald Isles, I've found some pretty pictures of things that are green (my favourite colour) :D

 Pretty green hair
 Pretty green kitchen
 Pretty green Blythe *swoon*
Pretty green dress (and twinkly lights)
This is just cute (and silly).
