Royal Wedding

Yes today was the day.  It was such a lovely day.  It was a bank holiday, so I got to spend it with my family <3.  I haven't uploaded any photos yet from today, but I just wanted to drop in and share some royal wedding inspired findings, so here you go.

Two of my good friends are getting married tomorrow, so I best go get some rest before the big day.  All this excitement is tiring me out!

mess

My room is such a tip at the moment, I feel like such a slob.  I keep going through spurts of motivation followed by hours of laziness.  I have techniques to try and keep me motivated, but I'm such a procrastinator and when the place is a mess I just can't seem to get anything done.

All I need is some time out to get my head back on track.  It's late now though, so I'll do it tomorrow ;)

Hello.  I'm back with more pics from Brighton! I know the last post was quite photo-heavy, so I've given this a post of it's own as I didn't want to leave out any of the awesome art I saw when I was down there.

Travels down South

Hello all! In case you've been wondering why I've been a little quiet these past few days it's because me and the boyf have been driving around the South of England visiting folk we don't get to see all that often.  We started the first leg of our journey to a place near Brighton to visit my Auntie and cousins, and subsequently managed to fulfil one of the things to do before my next birthday (as explained in this post).

I didn't take as many photos as I wanted to, but it's always hard when you're with people and holding them up.  Anywhos, here's a few from Brighton (be warned - photo heavy)...

 As you can see it was hot and sunny (yeah!) so we treated ourselves to some of this...

Mmm frozen yoghurt!! I'd never tried it until that day, and I must say it's may new favourite treat.  I also saw this baby...

*swoon* - I would have bought it if I were rich, but this has been a tight month for me :(

New Fringe

I've had my hair cut.  It always feels a bit weird when you no longer have to sweep your fringe out of your eyes.

Hello folks, how you doing?  I'm really tired today, and feeling lazy.  I've just had my dinner and am now going to veg in front of some Mad Men me thinks.  But first let me share with you some pretty things I've been eyeing up this week...

I love washi tape - particularly this stripy pair.

This vintage crochet and linen collar is amazing!  I've found some patterns recently for crocheted collars and am thinking of giving one a go (won't turn out anything like this though).

Grr...

I've spent the majority of this evening getting narked off with various computer/internet related issues.  I still feel pretty new to this blogging malarky, and I've been trying to teach myself a few tricks and things to make my blog a better one, but everything I've done so far tonight hasn't worked! 

I hate wasted time.  I suppose it isn't completely wasted because you learn from everything you do, but still...

My mum's coming to stay with me tomorrow (yay!), so I'm getting up early to tidy my bedroom.  I'll be sharing some pictures from "the pit" with you soon - just so you have an idea of the space I am currently inhabiting (and how cramped it is!).

charity shop score

I had some time to kill recently so went browsing around some charity shops (which I love doing) and managed to bag myself a bargain!!  Check it out.

It's full of cool patterns, tips and techniques... and it was only £1.75! Score.

I love finding treasure :)

Easter crafts

Hiya! Easter is around the corner, so I'm rounding up some of the best Easter crafts I've found on the web...

 These cross-stitched eggs are amazing!! I don't know about having a go at making them some, but you can take a look at the website here.

 I think this garland made from paint swatches looks pretty funky.
